1st December, 2024: APRIL International healthcare Announces Change of Insurer in Vietnam

Hochiminh City – Vietnam, October, 15th 2024 – APRIL International is excited to announce a key update for its operations in Vietnam. Starting from 1st December 2024, PVI Insurance Corporation (PVI) will serve as APRIL’s new fronting insurer partner in the country. This decision aligns with APRIL’s mission to enhance service quality and continue offering the highest standards of care to its members.

What to Expect: A Smooth Transition from PTI to PVI

APRIL International is working to make this transition as seamless as possible for its valued members. Here are the key changes you should know:

  • Policy Management: While APRIL will continue managing policies, PVI will become the insurer for renewals starting 1st December 2024. Members with existing policies will be covered by their current insurer until their policy expires, at which point they will be invited to renew under PVI.
  • Communication & Privacy Consent: Upon renewal, members will receive a renewal offer and an explanation letter detailing the insurer change. Along with this, members over 18 will need to sign a Consent Form authorizing the transfer of personal data to PVI and acknowledging the privacy policy. For corporate policies, the form will need to be signed by the Group Administrator.
  • Premium Payment: Moving forward, members will make premium payments to PVI’s account. The necessary bank details will be included in the renewal invoice.
  • Claims Processing: APRIL will continue processing claims directly, ensuring timely settlements. Members are encouraged to update their bank details via the Member Portal to avoid any delays.
  • No Change in Service Quality: APRIL reassures all members that the service quality, access to APRIL’s vast network, and support teams will remain unchanged, with all operations continuing as usual.
