Chubb Assurance acquires Liberty Insurance final day

After 23 years in Vietnam, Liberty Insurance is now Chubb Assurance Vietnam.

Chubb Limited acquired Liberty Insurance Limited in February 2026, and the legal name changed on 26 October 2026. According to the insurer, existing policies are unchanged.

For personal lines clients, though, there is a bigger picture. After AIG, Groupama and Henner, Liberty is the latest well-known name to step back from non-life personal insurance in Vietnam. In our reading of the market, three forces are behind this:
